Immunogen
This RAR-beta antibody was raised against amino acids 413-448 of human RAR-beta.
Buffer
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 31 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
Background
RAR-β (HAP, NR1B2) is a member of the thyroid-steroid hormone receptor superfamily of nuclear transcriptional regulators. RAR-β localizes to the cytoplasm and to subnuclear compartments. RAR-β binds retinoic acid, the biologically active form of vitamin A which mediates cellular signaling in embryonic morphogenesis, cell growth and differentiation. It is thought that RAR-β limits growth of many cell types by regulating gene expression.
Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20°C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.
